Welcome to äddi & merci, the Luxembourg label for cool t-shirts.
T-shirts with original slogans are a tradition in many countries, and even city names are used to express some sort of local patriotism.
In 2009 four friends decided to bring to Luxembourg the idea of printing slogans and typical expressions in the local language onto t-shirts. Thus the äddi & merci label was born.
Our team consists of Luxembourgers and non-Luxembourgers, which reflects the international make up of the local population. The label and slogan design was conceived by Luxembourg studio Vidale et Gloesener.

The slogans on our t-shirts refer to geographical appellations (“minettsdapp”), local expressions and linguistic peculiarities (“klibber mech”) and culinary traditions (“gromperekichelchen”).
Our t-shirts are from the Continental Clothing and Stanley and Stella range. They are made of high quality cotton, using the best natural products. Most t-shirts are made from 100 % organic cotton. Gradually, we want to switch to organic cotton for all our products.
The garments are made according to fair trade criteria. Both Continental Clothing and Stanley and Stella are a member of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF), which regularly inspects the working conditions of its producers and ensures a fair price is paid for raw materials.
The t-shirts from Continental Clothing also meet the criteria set by the Öko-Tex-Standard 100, which ensures that no harmful chemicals or other substances are used during their production.

Our children’s t-shirts as well as our bags are from the Earth Positive label, a product line of Continental Clothing which places great value on organic and ethical standards. Those products are all made from 100 % organic cotton. Find out more about the Earth Positive philosophy here:
